BRIDGE-Extended Student Services

BRIDGE: Building Relationships through Innovation, Design, and Global Exploration

The Extended Student Services (ESS) Program extends Poway Unified School District's educational program into the hours before and after school (6:30AM to 6PM), and during school vacations, for elementary school aged children. ESS provides a comprehensive program of developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities. ESS is fee based.

Since Design39Campus is looking at changing the way we do school, ESS is doing the same.  We are changing the way we do ESS and we are becoming an extension of the school day known as the BRIDGE program.  Our BRIDGE program stands for Building Relationships through Innovation, Design, and Global Exploration.

HOW TO ENROLL IN ESS

Thank you for your interest in our D39C ESS/BRIDGE program. Unfortunately, our enrollment for this school year is now closed and we are no longer accepting new students on our current Interest List.  The district will begin a new Interest List for next school year (2024-2025) starting on 3/4/24. Please go to the official ESS webpage to read more and begin the process.

Effective for the 2024-2025 school year, new applications to the ESS program will be centrally managed by the District Office, Before/After School Department through a single application and interest list. Information on how to apply for ESS for the upcoming school year is currently available on the ESS webpage.

Submitting an application for ESS does not guarantee participation in the program. It is anticipated that the demand for the ESS program will exceed capacity.

**If your child(ren) been enrolled in another ESS program in POWAYUSD please let us know.**

New Student Enrollment for ESS Summer 2024 ONLY

We anticipate very limited capacity to enroll new students in the ESS Summer Program in 2024.

Space in the summer program is subject to the availability of staff, transportation, and priority enrollment for continuing students and unduplicated pupils.

To apply for the 2024 summer program, families must complete a separate interest application by completing this INTEREST FORM. The interest list for SUMMER will be open February 5th- March 1st.

If space is available, ESS will notify parents/guardians whether their child(ren) has been accepted to enroll in the summer program or placed on a waitlist by April 1, 2024.

Acceptance into ESS Summer 2024 does not guarantee enrollment in the program for the 2024-25 school year. Parents/guardians must complete the separate application process for new student enrollment in ESS for 2024-25 that will be available online beginning Monday, March 4, 2024, at 9:00 am PST (Pacific Standard Time).
